If there is a malfunction, you only need to deal with three companies: Apple, Intel, and AMD, whereas with windows, you must deal with multiple companies. With Mac, there is an app store and you know what you are getting. Although the upfront costs for purchasing Macs may be more expensive than Windows, updating the operating system and keeping the computer secure are both large concerns with Windows, and cost a lot.
Mac is better than windows because they boot using EFI strings instead of hardware, meaning faster booting/running speeds, and they utilize RAM more efficiently and don't crash often, due to the fact that they run on Unix.
